We were at "Wicked" the Broadway Musical at MBS on Saturday, our 2nd time at the MBS Theatre, we were here previously for Lion King in Sand Theatre, this time round Wicked was in the Grand Theatre and it packed for the show which would end showing in Singapore on 22nd April 2012. The show had a great plot running off the Wizard of Ox as we know it from young, but with a good twist and the singing was great. We througly enjoyed it but just wished we could have gotten a seat nearer to the action, we had Cat 4 tickets which already cost us almost $300.
So those thinking about catching the show before it ends. It is certainly worth watching.
After the show, we had late dinner in MBS at High Society, the same place we went after our Lion King show the last time.
This time i had Spagetti Carbonara, the fair lady had Pan Seared Baby Half Chicken and we shared a Strawberry short cake to sum it up. The meal was great but portions was miserably small and with a big pricetag to go along. The shortcake cost $12!
Guess that is why they are called High Society, how befitting. : p

The Costal Settlement (TCS)
Was at the Coastal Settlement located in very Eastern part of Singapore - Changi on Easter Sunday for simple carefree brunch.
It was pretty crowded that day as there seem to be solemization ceremony that day.
We had Calamari, Good Old Fish and Chips and XO Sauce Prawn Alio for the day.
Out of the 3, i would say the Calamari was the most highly recommended, chewy inside and quite crispy on the out and very flavour full. The XO sauce Prawn Alio was good as well although a tad oily probably due to the XO sauce... The fish and chips was probably the most normal, and to me the fish taste abit smell, the wasabi mayo sauce taste a bit different from the normal, a small compliment on the otherwise normal (abit not fresh) fish and chips.
The bill came up about 80 bucks including a hazlenut latte which makes the whole meal rather pricey given the location of the place, given the fact you probably need to drive to find this place although there is a bus number 29 that stops just beside the place. Still this place has a nice ambience to it and a nostalgic feel to it. I really like it quite abit beside the price which can be more reasonable.
Would defintely drop by again to check out their other stuff. Till Next time

2012
Happy New Year everyone..
New Year and New resolutions of course, last year's 3 resolution
No 1: To go Cash and limited/no Credit Cards.
No 2: To Climb Mount Kinabalu
No 3: To get a Better Paying job
I could say that this was half achieved, i have got a better pay job and i have reduced my usage on my credit card but not on the KK climb.
Looking back on 2011, the major event would be my job change, my Bangkok and Korea holiday.
For 2012
I hope to achieve
No 1: To go Cash and limited/no Credit Cards.
No 2: To Climb Mount Kinabalu
No 3: To achieve something in my career
End of day, just be happy and all is well... happy NEw Year!

Makansutra Singapore 2011
Recently bought a copy of Makansutra Singapore 2011 on one of my half day leave while roaming in MPH. Thought would be a good idea to have a copy especially when running out of ideas on what to eat...
Me and my gf decided to try one of the places recommended..
Rong Guang B.B.Q Seafood
Blk 127 Bukit Merah Lane 1
KPT Coffeeshop
We have actually tried the food before here, but it was quite some time back but must say that i was pretty impress with the food, i think back then it was still located in the Hawker centre...
Anyway so decided to revisit this place as part of our exploration on recommendation by the Makansutra book. The rating given by the book was high 5 chopsticks aka "Divine"
Our orders for the night were Prawn paste chicken, Stingray and Sambal kangkong,
To be honest, we were not overly impressed especially the stingray, it was not very fresh the chilli on the stingray lack power just was not as "Divine" as thought out to be.
The sambal kangkong was not bad (guess hard to go wrong for such a simple dish but the veggie was cook just right) Prawn paste chicken was the best among the 3 dishes, nicely deep fried, crispy out and tender in, yum...
Would probably just rate it a 2 chopstick aka "Good" but if you are nearby the queenway shopping centre area or ikea alexandra, it is sure worth dropping by this place.
